My story is simple.

I grew up in Minneapolis, MN. My passion for drawing and making started when I was little, then followed me all the way to college where I received a BA in Illustration from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (Denver, CO). After I graduated, I moved back to Minnesota, got married to the love of my life, and adopted an extremely needy cat. You know, that old story.

After finding punch needle rug hooking in 2017 on Instagram, it was love at first punch. Since then, I've devoted myself to learning, teaching, and exposing others to the joy of this wonderful craft! I recently left my full time job as a product designer to pursue my love of teaching and making full time. I'm proud to be a Certified Oxford Punch Needle Instructor, and have really enjoyed teaching punch needle to people all over the Twin Cities!

My greatest joy is when students complete a piece and say "I never thought I could make something like this!" I never have any doubts that EVERYONE can create beautiful works of punch needle art.  My goal is to make learning how to punch fun and easy, and to provide you with the tools and materials necessary to continue your punch needle journey!
